Dearest Broadhurst Community,
For once in my life, I am having a tough time finding the words in expressing my gratitude to this community. As I was walking the neighborhood in the rain this past Tuesday, feet and back aching, blisters on both heels, soaking wet, I was thinking to myself, “I sure hope this will fill someone’s day with joy.” Well, let me tell you, I was humbled and blown away by the response this year to our food drive. Food arrived everyday at our door steps and column box. Saturday’s pick-up drive filled one third of my truck bed. With all donations, the bed of my truck is full and there are multiple boxes/bags inside the cab. I wanted to share how proud I am of your all’s efforts. We are able to donate soups, PB&J, canned meats and vegetables, pastas, sauces, snacks, nuts, and more. Someone even donated $200 in an envelope for the Fall City Food Pantry. While organizing all the bounty, I was so humbled and amazed at the efforts from you all. I know, with 100% confidence, that you will positively impact our local families. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your generosity will fill someone’s home and soul with gratitude, hope, and joy.

My best to you all. May you all have a joyful holiday season.
