DESCRIPTION:Annual Picnic is Sunday August 27th 11am-2pm in the Broadhurst Park \n\nWHAT: This is our yearly get together with the neighbors where we welcome all the new people who’ve moved in throughout the year and reconnect with each other. It’s an event not to be missed and fun for the whole family. It changes in theme and entertainment each year\, and this year’s theme is a carnival! \n\nThere will be a raffle (where you get the tickets for free)\, smoked bbq prepared by John\, and a mixture of carnival games.\nIt’s free for all of our residents who live in the neighborhood. If you’d like to bring additional family members who may be visiting from out of town\, it’s $20 per person. \n\nWANNA HELP?: Sometimes people ask what they can do to help out. If you’d like to help\, there’s a sign-up genius link below. For anyone who wants to join\, we will be gathering as a group at the Broadhurst park and will head down to 34th Street. \nWe’d love to invite neighbors (regardless of where in the neighborhood you live!) to pass out candy on 34th Street! Feel free to set up a spooky table or dress in costume. \n Additionally\, because little ones will be running around on 34th Street between 5:30-6:30 we ask that if at all possible you avoid driving down that street. \n Happy Halloween! \nBroadhurst Social Committee

DESCRIPTION:Hey Broadhurst\, mark your calendar on September 17th for our first annual community smoke off (we’re smoking pork ribs). We have four pit master participants who will be doing their best for the smoking crown. This event is open to the Broadhurst community. We are asking all those who are coming to bring a dish and please feel free to include some beer or wine to share with others. So if your last name begins with an A to M\, please bring a salad of some type\, and if your last name is between N and Z\, please bring a dessert to share. Now\, if your last name is Smith and you want to bring your world famous pasta salad\, please feel free to do so\, and the vice-versa is true. We are asking everyone to rsvp and how many you will be bringing. This will help with our planning (tables\, chairs\, water\, etc.). We’ll have other smoked meats besides pork ribs (chicken and pork shoulder). \nDate: September 17 \nTime: Social Hour 3:00 to 4:00 \nEating 4:00 to 6:00 \nPlace: 3007 264th Ave NE \nRSVP: Yes \nDishes: A to M = salad \nN to Z = dessert \nAlcohol: Feel free to bring something to share \nOpen to Broadhurst Community\, children are more than welcome \nPlease pardon the construction as we are having a new garage/shop being built.
